What is a merchant number?
The merchant number is given by merchant banks to
anyone who bills credit cards. To use Paybutton I or II
it is not enough to have a merchant number, this merchant
account has to be approved for Internet transactions. That is
because unlike face-to-face credit card billing, there
is no signature on the web transaction.
Since sometimes a storefront or a commercial
office is required, it is not uncommon for companies or
individuals to be refused a merchant number. In this case we
can complete your purchases through our merchant number.
Note that if this is the case you will have to provide us with
some information about yourself and your business and we cannot
guarantee that we will approve everyone.
